Art and sketches for a variety of character designs and explanations of part of my reasoning for their design decisions. Comes from various points throughout the year 2017.
A design for a god of death called The Gambler, specifically designed for violent deaths in which someone was killed by another. Their design is supposed to look very rat-like, especially in the facial features of their human form.
Hunter, a flustered biker gorgon with a lot of design elements informed by his insomnia and the classic greaser style.
Base concept for a vigilante character referred to as Puck, a 19 year old convinced that fairies are real, anime is life, and they are definitely batman.
Second round of Puck concepts, in which their weapon changes from a baseball bat to a replica katana from an anime, further solidifying their nerdy nature.
A final design of Puck's super hero outfit, distinct from their usual pastel fashion with it's darker colors for night-time activities, while still keeping their usual cute aesthetic.
Design for Delilah, a dullahan princess of a fantasy country based Ireland.
Rough idea for a "hacker" who posessed the power to reach through people's monitors into reality. Meant to appear strange and menacing, based loosely on something between a deer and a pitcher plant.
Initial redesign of Marcus, a mercenary and a human gun.
Continued development of Marcus and possible expressions and scars.
Concept sketches for Mildred, a concept for a survivalist vampire from the Canadian wilderness. Was designed to have a thick, stocky body type like a wrestler, and to fit a gentle giant trope while still having a startling appearance due to past events.
Redesign of Nya, the main character of PWONYA, the comic I made the year prior. Was redesigned to streamline the process of drawing her for future projects.
